My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child holds a unique spark of curiosity, and it is my role as an educator to nurture that spark into a lasting flame of learning. I see teaching as tending a bonfire—where children, families, educators, the environment, and the community all work together to keep the fire alive. I value child-initiated, play-based learning, foster independence through flexible environments, and actively involve families and communities in the learning process. Guided by the emergent curriculum, I aim to create meaningful, inclusive, and engaging experiences that empower each child to grow, explore, and thrive.
